The business event of the year is set to sparkle.
In the current economic climate the Leicestershire Business Awards will be bucking the trend and getting guests into celebratory mood.

, of organisers WOW Effect Ltd, called on companies to lift their moods by attending the Awards. “Being involved in the air of anticipation, the buzz of excitement and the thrill of the winners provides true inspiration”.
This year the winners of the seven categories will have extra reason to celebrate thanks to Sturgess of Leicester. The winner of the Leicestershire Business of the Year Award will be celebrating their achievements in style, with the loan of a Volvo XC60 for one month. Each award winner will achieve further mileage from their win through the use of a fully liveried Fiat 500 for a week. Spokeswoman at Sturgess, Nichola Moore said "Sturgess of Leicester are proud to be associated with the Business Awards and to be able to recognise local business success".
The evening will feature a keynote speech from Lord Digby Jones of
Shahid Sheikh, incoming Chairman of the IoD East Midlands and winner of the Entrepreneur of the Year Award 2008, stated: “It's an amazing night, even when you're not a finalist there's an exciting vibe in the room. I consider everyone shortlisted to be winners and hope that everybody enjoys the night and reaps the benefits which these awards offer! It’s a fantastic evening and truly brings the county’s businesses together – I’m looking forward to this year’s event as always!”
